We are looking for a VP of Engineering who will lead all Gameplay engineering efforts on Believer’s flagship game. In the first six months, you will determine key technical milestones with the CTO (i.e. - Engine, Infrastructure, etc), set up engineering standards and workflows, and ramp up hiring - putting into place key leaders that will report directly to you.

Responsibilities

• Own career development, performance management, and technical recruitment across the Game Studio.

• Partner closely with the CTO on developing the strength and health of the Engineering organization, building a culture of learning and iteration through real-time feedback.

• Partner with Studio Leadership to ensure the Engineering team lives our shared values through their approach to work and prioritization of tasks.

• Advocate for interdisciplinary collaboration through planning and communication.

• Manage external vendors or contractors we partner with to bring our game to market

Required Qualifications

• Experience managing at the “Team-of-Teams” level.

• Experience developing and shipping games in C++.

• Experience operating a live game as a service and managing the challenges associated with that effort.

• Experience building teams from scratch, establishing best practices, identifying gaps, and hiring to fill them.
