What do Believers believe?
I. We believe in games.
Play makes life worth living, and games are the best way to play.
We all play games, especially our games. We love playing together or solo; we love playing with skilled players and new players; we love playing with WASD, X△○□, or thumbs.
We nurture passion for games in the people around us: More players means more fun.
II. We believe
in players.
Players are the most rewarding audience to serve — the most engaged, the most creative, the smartest, the most connected and the most passionate.
Believers are player-obsessed. We make games to serve players, and every Believer aspires to be a passionate advocate for the player. We know that players will always know more about our games than we do, and we’re always trying to learn from them.
III. We believe in one another
Working your ass off in pursuit of something truly great is a dangerous undertaking, and we only want to go into danger with people we love.
Believers help everyone around them give their best, because only our best can deliver what players truly deserve. We hold one another to a high bar. We learn from one another. We are excellent to each other: We speak with loving candor, we operate with accountability, and act with compassion. Believers don’t cast stones, they cast lifelines; Our leaders dodge credit and tank blame.
We take risks to find Believers in unexpected places – people who don’t think and look like the luminaries of today, but will lead the industry tomorrow. We pursue diversity aggressively: Not for its own sake, but for players’ sake; not to look good, but to do good. We care less if you can see our diversity on our webpage, we care if you can feel it in our work.
IV. We believe
in the future.
In the venerable history of great things that have worked and won, there was a time when they didn’t and failed.
Believers are unafraid to take risks in pursuit of the bright future our players deserve: Games that are more than just games, but worlds. Worlds they can play and share with the people they care about and build communities around. Worlds pillared by music, television and sport, and brought to life by technology and techniques at the bleeding edge of our crafts.
We have big hearts that dream of this future, and egos that are small enough to roll up our sleeves and obsess over the details that matter. We’re not afraid to act, fail, learn, and try again. Believers believe in tomorrow, and give our full measure of creative devotion to bring it closer to today.
